200 Joint Personnel Carry Out Flood Handling Simulation in Cipinang Melayu

Total 200 joint personnel participated in post and field rehearsals for flood preparedness simulation at University of Borobudur, Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta, Wednesday (11/17).

We also want to train every personnel thus they can improve cross-sectoral coordination

Before the activities, morning assembly was priorly held at the location and led virtually by Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) from Jakarta City Hall.

East Jakarta Secretary, Fredy Setiawan stated, this simulation involved local City Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimko) to ensure and train participant's ability and sensitivity in the field, both in directing personnel and using equipment.

"We also want to train every personnel thus they can improve cross-sectoral coordination. Not only with local government's internal, but also three pillars and community to jointly handle disaster well and quickly," he said.

On the other hand, Dandim 0505/East Jakarta, Colonel (Kav) Rahyanto Edy Yunianto added, TNI ranks are ready to assist in flood handling in Jakarta.

"We are ready to deploy personnel and supporting facilities and equipment such as ambulances, rescue equipment, and rubber boats," he conveyed.

In this simulation, several posts, namely evacuation post, health post, disaster preparedness post, and security post were built to give assistance related to flood disaster management. Moreover, media center, mobile toilets, ambulances, and fire trucks were also deployed in this simulation.

It was carried out to obtain real picture in the field for quick response in order to minimize flood victims and treat residents affected by flood properly.
